Water's Edge

"One of my favorite blue hues is Water's Edge by Benjamin Moore," says Houston-based designer Paloma Contreras. "It has a slightly gray, dusty undertone, which makes it feel rather soothing. We color-matched it in a true lacquer finish in this client's library, so it reflects the light beautifully throughout the day. The room has a an immediate calming effect the moment you set foot in it."

Wickham Gray

"I love Benjamin Moore [Wickham Gray] HC-171 for its soothing, calming qualities," says Dallas-based designer Jan Showers. "It's not blue, and it's not gray and the tones change with the light. I have lived with it for over 20 years and chose it for this reason—I never tire of it, and it works so well with both warm and cool colors."

Putty

"Putty has been the Fisher Weisman choice to create a soothing feel since we started in interiors," says Jeffry Weisman, of the San Franciso-based firm.

Mediterranean Breeze

L.A.-based designer Kathryn M. Ireland previously declared her love of Benjamin Moore's Mediterranean Breeze to us.
"The color reminds me of the south of France and lazy summer days," she said. "If it weren't blue, it would be sunflower yellow, another color that fills my life in summer."

Here, you'll find Miles Redd's take on seaside blue in a similar hue, featured in a Baker's Bay master bedroom.
